What fast food should you never order? US netizens reveal McDonald's coffee machines are never cleaned

A major US forumredditrecently discussed "the worst fast food items to order," sparking heated responses from users. Among them, Envirometh, a former McDonald's employee, made the most shocking claim—he advised peoplenot to orderMcDonald's coffeebecause the coffee machines are never thoroughly cleaned, resulting in coffee that is dirtier than one could imagine. Meanwhile, Stac52, a former Starbucks employee, advised peoplenot to order the secret menu itemsbecause you never know what you're actually drinking.

Envirometh further revealed that during his time at McDonald's, it was so bad thateven the supervisors didn’t know how to clean the coffee machines,so the coffee was served to customers in an extremely dirty state. Another former McDonald's employee, Ritch88, said that at McDonald's, youmust order "freshly made" chicken nuggetsotherwise you might end up with nuggets that have been sitting around who knows how long.

Meanwhile, KFC wasn’t spared either. A former KFC employee with four years of experience revealed thatthe chicken in the grilled chicken sandwich is frozen for too longand is even too tough to donate to the homeless. It’s then soaked in barbecue sauce before being served—though this particular item isn’t available in Taiwan.

According to a former Wendy’s employee, the chain, which is reportedly set to return to Taiwan,makes its chili soup using dried-up meat scraps scraped off the grill, and if it doesn’t sell for a while, they just keep adding water. YouAteYourParents, a former movie theater worker, said that theater popcorn is disgusting because unsold popcorn is collected in garbage bags at closing time and reheated the next day.

Taiwan McDonald’s stated yesterday thatall equipment, including McCafé coffee machines, undergo daily cleaning and calibration procedures, and all products are prepared according to restaurant operational needs to ensure quality. A spokesperson for Taiwan KFC said they were unable to comment.
