New Free WiFi Service in Tokyo Metropolitan Area – Now Available on Subway Trains

In recent years, Japan has gradually introduced a series of free WiFi services. Following the previously introduced“14-Day Free WiFi Card”and“Osaka Free WiFi”, starting from March this year (2014), Keikyu Electric Railway, which runs from Haneda Airport to Tokyo and Yokohama, now offers free WiFi service for foreign tourists.

From now on, visitors can download a service voucher and print it out in advance from theofficial campaign website, then exchange it at the “Keikyu Travel Service Center” in Terminal 2 of Haneda Airport’s International Terminal upon arrival to get an ID and password card. Once online, they can log in and start using the service. The Travel Service Center also provides other tourist information services.

The free wireless network is available to passengers using Keikyu Line trains. It can be used at Haneda Airport International Terminal Station, Haneda Airport Domestic Terminal Station, Shinagawa Station, inside certain Keikyu Line train cars, all Keikyu Airport Bus vehicles, as well as atover 200,000 hotspots across Japan, but usage is limited to 6 hours. Exchange Hours:7:00 AM – 10:00 PM, year-round (no exchanges outside business hours)

Areas Covered:Haneda Airport International Terminal Station, Haneda Airport Domestic Terminal Station, Shinagawa Station, inside certain Keikyu Line train cars, all Keikyu Airport Bus vehicles, as well as at over 200,000 hotspots across Japan.

Usage Limitations:Usage is limited to 6 hours
