The first recruitment drive for cabin crew by TransAsia Airways' low-cost carrier V Air had an acceptance rate of just 4%, with male applicants accounting for 20%.

Since V Air, a subsidiary of the Fuxing Group, announced its cabin crew recruitment at the end of February, it has received over 1,800 applications in just two weeks. Based on the 80 cabin crew positions available, the acceptance rate is approximately 4.4%.

Preliminary observations show that besides attracting many current professionals from the hotel, transportation, and food & beverage industries, the gender ratio of applicants this time is about 80% female and 20% male. Compared to the traditional airline recruitment ratio of less than 10:1 female-to-male, the proportion of male applicants has significantly increased. The first round of interviews for V Air officially began on March 21.
