Recently, a foreign chef named Jasper van Ramshorst posted on Facebook about using an electric screwdriver combined with a peeler to quickly peel apples — even managing to peel five or six apples in just 37 seconds. This bold feat made the video go viral online.

According to interviews conducted by reporters with several well-known domestic hotels, such as Sheraton, Ambassador, and Regent Taipei, public relations representatives from each hotel stated that five-star hotels in Taiwan still use traditional manual peeling methods. Based on information from hotel operators, depending on the needs of each restaurant, a hotel peels approximately 60 to 80 apples per day, with an average of about five minutes needed to peel one apple.
