In Carlsbad, San Diego County, Southern California, a 50-hectare garden transforms with the arrival of April. Now, stretching as far as the eye can see is a vast expanse of soft, vibrant flower fields where children run freely and adults lose themselves in wonder. The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch sit atop a hillside, offering breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean—patches of blossoms cascading down the slopes like waterfalls, a truly magnificent sight.

The annual flower season lasts about six to eight weeks, from early March to early May, bringing this land back to life. When the season arrives, it becomes a pilgrimage site for tourists and officially heralds the arrival of spring in California.

For groups of 20 or more, consider the group tour option, which costs approximately 450 NTD (15 USD) per person. The tour lasts about 30–45 minutes, with a guide taking you up the hillside to learn about the flower fields’ history spanning 90 years and sharing various insights, all while enjoying panoramic views of the Pacific’s deep blue waters and the endless sea of flowers.
