Every year, the 101 fireworks are the highlight of New Year’s Eve, attracting many foreign tourists to Taiwan specifically for them. However, if you want to enjoy the 101 fireworks up close, you not only have to stake out a spot early but also stand through the night until midnight. If you'd rather skip the fatigue and crowds, consider the New Year’s Eve packages at restaurants near Taipei 101 — enjoy a meal indoors and effortlessly watch the stunning fireworks display as the clock strikes midnight.

INPARADISE Xiang Xiang
INPARADISE Xiang Xiang is located on the 46th floor of Breeze XinYi. To the south, you can overlook Taipei 101, while to the north, there are views of the Keelung River and the Miramar Night Scenery. Xiang Xiang is situated to the north of Taipei 101 and is not affected by smoke due to the northeast monsoon, allowing for a clear view of the spectacular fireworks show. On New Year’s Eve, special operating hours are adjusted to offer both dinner and late-night meal sessions. The New Year’s Eve dinner and supper sessions on December 31st start from NT$2,890 per person.

The biggest draw of Morton’s The Steakhouse Taipei is probably the view of the entire Taipei 101 building and the city nightscapes, allowing you to enjoy a delicious steak while taking in the beautiful night view. The New Year’s Eve set menu will be available from 9:00 p.m. on December 31, 2017, to 1:00 a.m. on January 1, 2018, at NT$5,188 per person. During the same period, the SkyBar, which offers front-row views of the New Year’s Eve fireworks, will accept reservations depending on weather conditions.

Surrounding the rooftop garden, La Farfalla Italian Restaurant offers an exceptional view of the Taipei 101 New Year’s Eve fireworks. From 10:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., the “New Year’s Eve Fireworks Party” will be held at NT$2,800+10% per person, featuring Italian cuisine reimagined with creativity and local flavors. The restaurant follows a full buffet style, serving creative Italian delicacies such as truffle egg salad with sesame crisps and caviar sesame salmon with cream cheese. Located on the 4th floor of Breeze Song Gao, Zhuan Men Craft Beer has an outdoor dining area offering views of Taipei 101 and the fireworks during New Year’s Eve. Tickets for the New Year’s Eve party went on sale starting December 1st at NT$1,399 per person and are available until sold out. Entry is from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

The second-floor Gallery at Grand Hyatt Taipei, which boasts an excellent view of the fireworks, will host a lively and dazzling New Year’s Eve party starting at 10:00 p.m. on December 31st. Guests can enjoy the fireworks show on the terrace just one street away from Taipei 101. There will be high-energy live music, interactive magic performances, tarot card readings, and more.
