"Taipei Green World Special Exhibition" Opens & Enjoy Taipei with YouBike 3D Interactive Facilities

In recent years, the Taipei City Government has been dedicated to transforming Taipei into a "green city," with the smiley-face bicycle YouBike proving particularly successful. To enhance public recognition of and engagement in green living, the "Taipei Green World Special Exhibition," which combines Taipei's green innovation technology and lifestyle experiences, is on display from now until June 29 on the special exhibition floor on the second level of the Taipei Explorer Dome.

The "Taipei Green World Special Exhibition" is divided into two major thematic areas: the "Low-Carbon Environmental Protection Zone" and the "Leisure Life Zone." In the "Low-Carbon Environmental Protection Zone," multimedia audiovisuals and interactive game installations showcase the latest technologies and measures for natural resource preservation and regeneration. It also features the "Yan Hui Book Library" displaying recycled old books, exhibits of restored recycled furniture, and includes the "Dragon Scale Binding" from the 2016 Taipei Design Capital application for public viewing—allowing visitors to experience environmental protection while also enjoying the ambiance of literary culture.

The "Leisure Life Zone" focuses on public transportation and leisurely exploring Taipei. It includes a realistic bus stop and information positioning system, integrated with the popular mobile app "Taipei Easy Go," giving visitors a taste of Taipei’s public transport services. Taipei’s popular transportation tool, the YouBike, also features 3D motion-sensing interactive facilities on-site, combined with street scene simulation technology and carbon reduction calculations. Visitors can ride the YouBike not only to explore famous Taipei attractions, enjoy the eco-friendliness and convenience of YouBike, but also learn about their carbon reduction and how many calories they’ve burned.
