Secret romantic spot: Taichung’s Love Chapel with vibrant stained glass and dazzling lights

When it comes to Wufeng in Taichung, the first thing that comes to mind is the elegant and secluded Full Moon Chapel nestled halfway up the mountain. But recently, Wufeng has gained another must-visit chapel hidden gem. Unlike the grandeur of the Full Moon Chapel,the stained glass chapel known as the “White Love Chapel” is located at the Wenyi Branch of the Taichung Public Library in Wufeng. Its petite, adorable all-white exterior paired with vibrant stained glass is super photogenic. At night, the chapel glows with lights, offering a romance level that’s off the charts, attracting many visitors to the spot.

White symbolizes purity and sanctity, which is why most churches feature white tones in their design. However, a chapel with dynamic lighting effects is quite rare. This “White Love Chapel” lights up around 6:30 PM, changing colors every few seconds, creating a dazzling and vivid display.

Cute little details surround the entire chapel area, waiting for you to discover them one by one. A small love bell hangs in front of the chapel, and ringing it symbolizes eternal love. Owls representing wisdom and miniature dwarfs also gather around the chapel to join in the fun, while a giant red “LOVE” sign diagonally in front is a major highlight. Capturing photos here doesn’t require you to shout out your love—the romantic atmosphere quietly envelops the surroundings.
