Embrace Green Island’s Low-Carbon Travel & Ride Electric Bikes Free with Mandarin Airlines Boarding Pass

To promote eco-friendly low-carbon travel and protect Taiwan’s environment and ecology, Mandarin Airlines is launching the “e-Ride to Green Island” campaign, driving the “Green Island Smart Living Tech Low-Carbon Tourism Plan.” A series of low-carbon travel modes will be introduced, integrating dining, accommodation, transportation, entertainment, and e-app features to implement a multi-faceted approach toward a new style of tourism—show your boarding pass to ride an electric bike for free.

Starting now, passengers flying Mandarin Airlines on the Taipei/Taitung route can present their boarding pass to receive either a free electric bike ride or discounted electric scooter ride—choose from two special offers. This initiative plans to introduce 500 China Motor electric bikes (e-bikes) and 300 China Motor electric scooters (e-motorcycles). The electric bikes use permanent magnet variable frequency DC motors, are human-assisted, have a load capacity of 100kg, and offer long battery life. For Green Island’s hilly terrain, the China Motor e-Moving Super model conquers even the steepest slopes.

Some travel agencies have also designed smart low-carbon travel packages for Green Island — “The Low-Carbon Trio – e-Ride to Green Island.” These packages start at just NT$4,990 per person, with a chance to join a lucky draw. Prizes include the grand prize: e-Moving Bobe electric bikes (two units) sponsored by China Motor, and the second prize: electric-assist bicycles (two units) sponsored by China Motor.
