The marathon is one of Jeju Island’s annual highlight events, attracting many international visitors every year. It features a colorful and picturesque route that offers sweeping views of the northeastern coastline. The marathon is scheduled to take place on June 8, with registration closing on May 23.

The Jeju Island Marathon has now been held for its 19th edition, and each event has been spectacular. In addition to enthusiastic participation from local residents, runners from around the world also gather here, mainly because the course takes you along Jeju Island’s most stunning northeastern coastline. Along the winding shoreline, you’ll pass through the Siwha Coast, dotted with unique cafés, and the Jinhae Beach with its fine white sands—both renowned spots on the island. The finish line is at Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak), a must-visit site in Jeju. Running the marathon means you’ll experience the eastern half of the island.

The Jeju Island Marathon offers three categories: a full marathon (42.195 km), a half marathon (21.0975 km), and a walking event (10 km). Even if you’re not a marathon enthusiast, you can join the walking event to experience Jeju’s unique “Olle” (walking) culture.
