Traveling to Kaohsiung just got more affordable starting now. The Kaohsiung City Government’s Department of Rapid Transit Systems has launched the “Kaohsiung MRT Sea & Land All-Day Pass” transportation ticket, which includes one-day passes for the MRT, ferry, and city buses. For just NT$100 per set, you can enjoy all the major popular tourist attractions in Kaohsiung.

The “Kaohsiung MRT Sea & Land All-Day Pass” includes two MRT single-journey ticket vouchers, but they are only valid for entry and exit at either Qijin or Yanchengpu stations, as well as one round-trip ferry ticket between Qijin and Gushan. It also offers unlimited free rides on Kaohsiung city buses—all must be used on the day of purchase. From now until the end of the year, the pass is available at service counters in all Kaohsiung MRT stations and the travel information desk at Zuoying Station.

In addition, aside from the continued free bus rides with an EasyCard until the end of the year, the Department of Rapid Transit Systems has also categorized city buses into seven types based on major attractions in different districts: “Cool Shopping Fun” — Bus No. 100 and 8501, “Happy Family Fun” — Bus No. 56, “Sea & Land All-Day Pass” — Orange Line 1 + Ferry and Red Line 9, “Sweet Lychee Delight” — Dashu Blessing Line, “Qimei Strolling Tour” — Qimei National Highway Express Bus, “Zuoying Old Town Tour” — Red Line 51, and “City Leisure Tour” — Bus No. 168 East. In response to recent incidents on the Taipei MRT, surveillance cameras have been installed on all 952 buses across the city to ensure a safe riding environment for passengers.
