American Airlines merges with US Airways; China UnionPay becomes Taiwan's general agent

American Airlines recently announced that it has successfully integrated with US Airways and will continue to serve travelers under the name "American Airlines." It also stated that starting July 1, China UnionPay Co., Ltd. has been appointed as the general agent for Taiwan.

With an extensive network of routes across the Pacific, American Airlines operates daily flights from major Asian cities to major U.S. cities. Recently, the route from Hong Kong to Dallas, Texas, began using the new Boeing 777-300 aircraft, offering passengers a more comfortable experience. After the merger, starting July 1, passengers traveling on former US Airways routes will need to book and ticket through American Airlines codeshare flights.
