Only two kilometers in diameter yet possessing incredible beauty — the unmissable Kouri Island

Kouri Island is located in the central part of Okinawa Island, roughly oval-shaped with a diameter of about 2 kilometers. It is approximately 20 kilometers from the popular tourist destination Churaumi Aquarium, a 30-minute drive away. Many people drive back to the southern Naha area after visiting the Churaumi Aquarium, often overlooking the stunning seascape of Kouri Island — which is truly a pity.
To get to Kouri Island, you first need to drive to Yagaji Island, then cross the Kouri Bridge that connects Yagaji Island and Kouri Island.
While driving across the Kouri Bridge, you’ll be captivated by the breathtaking scenery on both sides — the color of the sea is truly unbelievably beautiful.
After parking the car, head straight to the beach to admire the incredible view.
The thick cloud cover and lack of blue sky are a bit of a downside.
