Tackling Summer Holiday Traffic: Free Shuttle Buses Launched in Luodong

To cope with the influx of holiday tourists, the Luodong Township Office began trial operations of free shuttle buses starting July 1. It has also designated vacant land on Cangqian Road and the Luodong Township Farmers’ Association Plaza as parking areas, aiming to alleviate the chronic congestion and shortage of parking spaces on Luodong’s main roads during weekends and holidays.

With the arrival of summer vacation, events such as the Children's Folk Games Festival and the Fringe Festival have drawn large numbers of vehicles and visitors. From now until August 31, free shuttle buses will be available daily from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM during peak traffic hours, departing from the Cangqian Road parking lot. The buses will travel along Zhongzheng Road, Minsheng Road, and Park Intersection, with services running approximately every 30 minutes. Signage will be placed along the route to guide tourists. If the trial proves successful, the service will be extended to regular holidays starting in September.

The Luodong Township Office hopes the public will make good use of this service by taking public transportation to reach various popular attractions in town. This initiative aims to reduce traffic volume, eliminate the hassle of congestion, save time, and allow visitors to enjoy their trip to the fullest.
