Taichung's 2017 Simple Life Festival Kicks Off This Weekend

In 2016, after ten years, the Simple Life Festival evolved from "Simple Life" to "a Simple Day," taking the spirit of simple living to a new level—because beautiful moments don’t need a special occasion; they bloom in our everyday lives. This year, the festival arrives at Taichung Civic Square, gathering eco-friendly produce, creators, and creative brands from Greater Taichung. With simple yet richly wonderful things, it aims to open up a path toward realizing the dream of a better life.

This year’s theme is “inner child,” and there will be two music stages where artists can freely express their imagination. The market section also features deeper integration with Taichung, including local agricultural products, floral wines, and regional creative talents, all coming together to present a diverse creative scene.

“2017 a Simple Day” will be held on December 9 and 10 at Civic Square, featuring 28 musical performances, including Wei Ru-xuan, Wang Fu, Yanging Wen, Totem, Nuomi Tuan, and Rural Armed Youth. The event also incorporates local Taichung ingredients to reinterpret the concept of street food.
