New Taipei City’s Hands-On Mini Trips: Make Tamsui Fish Balls and Dye Blue Fabric with Your Kids

The New Taipei City Government plans to launch family-friendly travel routes suitable for summer vacations starting in July, including the “New Taipei Hands-On Mini Trip: Tamsui & Bali Line” and the “New Taipei Hands-On Mini Trip: Sanxia Ceramics/Blue Dye/Jinniu Corner Line.” These two packaged mini trips aim to enrich visitors’ summer explorations of New Taipei City.

This time, in collaboration with tourism operators, the New Taipei City Government has introduced the “New Taipei Hands-On Mini Trip,” which focuses on the local specialty industries and cultural landscapes of Sanxia & Yingge, as well as Tamsui & Bali. The trips involve exploring streets and alleys using public transportation and on foot, paired with fun DIY experiences (such as making Tamsui fish balls, hand-throwing pottery in Yingge, blue dyeing in Sanxia, and crafting Jinniu Corner treats—choose one based on the registered itinerary), making them perfect for family outings.

The New Taipei City Government Tourism and Travel Bureau stated that the itinerary includes guided tours, local hands-on DIY activities, and shopping district vouchers, with a total value exceeding NT$500, offered at a discounted price of NT$199, limited to 5,000 participants.Sales will begin at 2:00 PM on July 2..
