The fluctuating weather is really unbearable—scorching hot at noon like summer, then turning cold at night~ Should you have ice or a warm sweet soup? Come here~ We’ll satisfy both your cravings, with ice options too！ And warm sweet soups as well!!

Rainbow Snow Snowflake Ice Dessert Shop is located on Section 2 of Dongmen Road. The corner storefront is very eye-catching—just look for the big sign of Taiwan’s Dessert King!!

Even just the pictures of the snowflake ice above are pretty attractive, instantly drawing my attention. I noticed the 7th-anniversary banner hanging on the cloth strip, and that’s when I realized Rainbow Snow Snowflake Ice Dessert Shop has been around at this spot for 7 years already. I rarely come to this area normally.

Stepping into the shop, there’s a pink magic vibe. The long, narrow space has walls covered with pictures of various dishes—if you’re not sure what to order, you can use them for reference～

Let’s take a look at the Rainbow Snow Snowflake Ice Dessert Shop menu. They offer quite a variety of items!! Just the snowflake ice alone has dozens of flavors to choose from, each one so tempting!! Some are even seasonal limited editions!!

There’s also no shortage of sweet soup options, and I heard their red beans are known for being plump and full—it’s practically the shop’s signature. Fortune-Purple Rice Red Bean Soup Balls – NT$45

On a cold day, a warm, comforting sweet soup is just perfect！This one comes with five-color soup balls. The shop explains they’re all dyed with natural ingredients—for example, green is made with matcha, and there are also sesame, peanut, and original flavors. The red ones are made with dragon fruit or carrots. The little soup balls are colorful, with a bouncy texture that’s not mushy at all. The red beans are hearty, paired with purple rice, and cooked until fully tender.

Peanut Purple Rice Red Bean Soup – NT$55

In Tainan, desserts with peanuts aren’t too common, but Rainbow Snow is one of the shops that serves them！The peanuts here are cooked until super soft and fluffy—absolutely delicious!!

The red beans are large and plump. When served over snowflake ice, the texture is different. The red beans in this bowl have a bit of chew and no skin, feeling like they’ve just been cooked. The sweetness is just right for me—not overly cloying.

Watermelon Milk Snowflake Ice – NT$130

Comes with water-silk pudding and condensed milk

The watermelon snowflake ice is topped with grapes and comes with condensed milk that you can drizzle on yourself. The ice has absolutely no icy crystals—it has an ultra-fine, velvety texture that’s not at all cloying. The watermelon flavor is light and gentle, almost like drinking watermelon milk. The ice is made from fresh fruit, giving it an ice cream-like smooth texture. I really love this snowflake ice.

Water-Silk Pudding

This pudding is super soft and bouncy！So smooth～ It has a fresh, tender, watery feel, with a delicate milk aroma.

Five-Treasure Purple Rice Red Bean Soup – NT$65 + Ginger Syrup – NT$10

This bowl of Five-Treasure Purple Rice Red Bean Soup is like a mixed sweet soup—the moment you scoop, you’ll find a variety of ingredients！What’s special is that the mochi balls and sweet potato balls here are shaved, giving a texture with bits of taro and sweet potato that’s quite different from what you usually get！！The snow lotus seeds have a powdery texture with a hint of sweetness that melts in your mouth, releasing their flavor. There’s also taro added, cooked until very tender—some made into mochi balls, combining that texture with the shredded feel. The red beans are hearty and fill the bowl. Adding a bit of ginger syrup makes it even more warming for the stomach.
