Royal Princess Celebrates Its First Anniversary with Parties & Shifts to U.S. & Canada Routes in Fall

Since being officially named by the Duchess of Cambridge in Southampton, UK, on June 13, 2013, Princess Cruises’ Royal Princess has carried 150,000 passengers, sailed 120,000 nautical miles, completed 44 voyages back and forth across the Mediterranean and Caribbean, and visited 20 countries and 39 ports.

This summer, the Royal Princess announced it will celebrate its first anniversary and will continue sailing in the waters of Scandinavia, Russia, Iceland, and the British Isles, before launching its first cruise season to Canada and New England in the U.S. this fall from New York.

According to Princess Cruises, the Royal Princess has been ranked as one of the “Most Popular Ships” by Cruise Critic and has received numerous outstanding reviews. To celebrate the Royal Princess’s anniversary, passengers will have the chance to be invited to a “Royal Birthday Ball” held onboard, adding even more richness to their sea voyage. Meanwhile, the Royal Princess’s sister ship, Regal Princess, officially joined the Princess Cruises fleet in May this year, further enhancing the line’s fleet offerings.
