The Zuoying Station concourse features realistic recreations of Hong Kong MTR stations such as Central, Wan Chai, and Admiralty, along with Hong Kong photos that create a strong sense of depth and perspective—making it feel as if you could step into Hong Kong any moment. Xu Wei-ni, Director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board in Taiwan, said: “Hong Kong is currently in the midst of its Summer Super Sale. Aside from enjoying shopping and gourmet food, visitors can also experience a variety of festivals—making the entire city feel like a never-ending summer party.”
Meanwhile, Vincent Leung, Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Taiwan, stated: “Each Hong Kong MTR station is identified by large, artistic calligraphy-style station names, which are popular photo spots for Taiwanese visitors to Hong Kong.” By adopting the concept of an MTR station, the Kaohsiung MRT has been transformed into a Hong Kong subway platform. Coupled with flash mob appearances by classic Hong Kong film characters familiar to Taiwanese audiences, the event aims to immerse the public in an authentic Hong Kong atmosphere. Additional flash mob performances of classic Hong Kong film characters will take place on July 5th and 6th, with six more sessions available for the public to enjoy.
This summer, Hong Kong is rolling out the “Hong Kong FUN Share Summer Gift” campaign to attract visitors, with its Summer Super Sale in full swing. In recent years, Hong Kong has seen a rise in cultural creativity, and Sheung Wan has become a hub for unique, trendy boutiques—making it a great spot for young creatives to explore. The PMQ MetaHub, a newly launched cultural landmark in Hong Kong that officially opened in June, is housed in a historic building that was formerly a married police quarters. The revamped space now hosts over 100 boutique shops and studios by Hong Kong designers. Currently, there is also an exhibition of 1,600 paper pandas, making it a new hotspot for cultural enthusiasts.
