TransAsia Airways Flight GE222 was involved in an aviation incident on the evening of July 23 in Penghu. The Kaohsiung City Government stated that the Tourism Bureau is currently inquiring with TransAsia Airways for a detailed passenger manifest. As Makung Airport has been closed, arrangements will be made to send family members to Penghu early on the 24th to handle related matters. Meanwhile, the city government also urges families of passengers to call the 1999 citizen service hotline to leave their contact information so the city can provide further assistance as soon as possible.
