One Piece Sails to Hong Kong – 11-Meter-Tall "Thousand Sunny" on Display at Times Square

As long as people continue to seek the answer of freedom, all of this will never cease!" Fans of the One Piece anime will surely recognize this iconic opening line. This summer (2014), One Piece sets sail for Hong Kong, with the crew inviting everyone to join them in the "Grand Line" and set off toward their dreams.

Hong Kong Times Square is proudly presenting the "One Piece Docks at Hong Kong" anime exhibition, which officially opens to the public tomorrow (31st). The event will feature an 11-meter-tall "Thousand Sunny" docked at the Outdoor Plaza, as well as an 8-meter-tall "Going Merry," and Luffy’s 5-meter-diameter straw hat placed atop the clock tower, offering One Piece fans an exciting preview.

Highlights of the Times Square "One Piece Docks at Hong Kong" anime exhibition:
1. The 11-meter-tall "Thousand Sunny" is docked at the Outdoor Plaza and open for the public to board and explore.
2. On the second-floor atrium, an 8-meter-tall "Going Merry" comes to life in mid-air. This is the first time the "Going Merry" has been displayed at this scale—it’s truly breathtaking.
3. Luffy’s 5-meter-diameter straw hat is placed atop the clock tower. From the right angle, visitors can even try on his hat and experience what it’s like to be Pirate King.
4. Twenty adorable 1:1-scale Choppers have arrived with the crew, transforming into justice-loving heroes—Chopperman—and waiting to give you a hug.
5. Key characters including Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nami, Usopp, Chopper, Robin, Franky, and Brook strike classic poses in the second-floor atrium, ready for fans to take photos with.
