New Fun in Macau: Meet DreamWorks Stars, Join the How to Train Your Dragon Camp, and Explore the Transformers 30th Anniversary Exhibition

Macau’s tourism is transitioning toward diversified development, leading many hotels to launch entertainment package programs suitable for both kids and adults. These include experiencing a grand parade of 12 DreamWorks stars, having breakfast with animated characters, joining the popular How to Train Your Dragon training camp, and visiting the 30th-anniversary exhibition of Transformers. It's a great opportunity to plan a family-friendly trip as the summer holiday draws to a close.

The Sands Cotai Central has meticulously choreographed the DreamWorks Stars Grand Parade, held daily at Sands Plaza. The 32-minute performance features 32 performers, including 12 beloved characters from Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, and How to Train Your Dragon, along with dancers, puppeteers, and stilt walkers. Please note that the parade takes place daily from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM—don’t miss your chance to take photos with your favorite animated stars.

If the grand parade isn’t enough, you can also have breakfast with the animated stars the next day, immersing yourself in a movie-like experience. The themed breakfast kicks off with a short performance by DreamWorks characters, including Shrek and Princess Fiona, Puss in Boots, Alex the Lion and King Julien from Madagascar, the Penguins, and Po from Kung Fu Panda—all ready to take photos with kids and adults alike.

However, the character breakfast is only available on Tuesdays to Fridays from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, and on Saturdays to Mondays from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. After enjoying time with the animated stars, you can continue the fun by taking the kids to experience the How to Train Your Dragon adventure.

The How to Train Your Dragon Training Camp consists of five activities, lasting about one to one and a half hours. Parents and children can exercise together, try making armor, and paint their own dragons. Designed for kids aged 4 to 12, after completing all five challenges, participants will receive a “Dragon Trainer Certificate.”

Transformers, which has gained global popularity, is also celebrated in Macau. The Macao SAR Government Tourism Office strongly supports the Transformers 30th Anniversary Exhibition, showcasing over a thousand models from different eras and fan collections, along with several giant Transformer sculptures. There is also the world’s first highly realistic 3D projection of a 2-meter-tall Transformer. Across ten interactive zones, this exhibition is sure to captivate both kids and adults.
