The Puyuma “Super Non-Stop Train” to run for another three months — ticket sales start at midnight on the 4th

The Taiwan Railways Administration’s (TRA) Puyuma “Super Non-Stop Train” will continue operating for an additional three months. On the 2nd, TRA announced that since launching the non-stop direct service between Taipei and Taitung, average seat occupancy has consistently reached 80–90%, prompting the decision to extend the service starting from the 11th.

Since joining TRA’s fleet to ease congestion, the Puyuma has significantly reduced travel time between Taipei and Taitung, resulting in consistently high demand for tickets. To accommodate the large passenger volume, starting from the 6th of last month, TRA introduced the non-stop “Super Non-Stop Train,” which only stops at Yuli Station on the Taitung-to-Taipei route.

According to TRA statistics, the average seat occupancy of the “Super Non-Stop Train” has reached 80–90%, while other Puyuma trains have also seen occupancy rise from 80% to 90%, demonstrating significant effectiveness. Therefore, after handling passenger flow during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, the service will continue from the 11th to December 11th, with online and phone ticket sales opening at midnight on the 4th.
