Get a “Sweet Lemon Chill”! This Yilan specialty drink has a super unique name.

Last time I was in a bad mood at work, and a friend laughed and said, “Have a ‘Sweet Lemon Chill’,” which startled me!!! Turns out someone wanted to buy me a drink, and this one is called “Sweet Lemon Chill.” Haha, the name is really cheeky—and it actually lightened my gloomy mood back then.

This drink comes from Fengchai Xia’an, a tea shop located right next to Luodong Night Market. I originally thought it was a chain store, but it’s actually a genuine local small business.

You can see the entrance of Luodong Night Market right from the shop’s doorstep.

I never expected a local shop to be so well put together, with such beautiful decorations. Haha, I really thought it was a chain store that’s everywhere, so I passed by many times without paying it any special attention.

Hehe, I guess they’re also jumping on the ice cream trend this summer, but this isn’t your ordinary fruit ice cream—it’s flavored with oolong tea.

As expected, this is the shop’s exclusive drink—the “Sweet Lemon Chill” is right here. They even have a Calm Black Tea.

The drinks here are a bit different—for example, this one is brewed using tea bags.

It looks almost like a semi-automatic coffee machine. I’ve seen something similar at a well-known tea chain.

High-pressure brewing keeps it fresher.

Here comes the Sweet Lemon Chill, Up up up.

This Sweet Lemon Chill has the sweetness of plum and the fruity bits of lemon—sweet and delicious. The highlight is definitely the fun name. I heard students often order it to give to their teachers. Haha, I wonder how the teachers feel receiving it? Might be a good gift for the boss too.

This one is a cranberry smoothie—tangy, sweet, cool, and refreshing. It’s made with real cranberry pieces, not just regular juice.

This cup of pure green tea actually has a story. In fact, it’s sourced from Chun Cheng Tea Garden in Zhongshan Leisure Agriculture Area, Dongshan Township—a partner of theirs. The tea farmers, using 30 years of tea-making expertise and special roasting techniques, produce leaves that are perfect for both beverages and ice cream. So this seasonal, freshly picked pure green tea is completely unadulterated.

It tastes a lot like cold-brewed tea, with a lighter flavor—but the more you drink, the more you notice its lingering depth and natural sweetness. It’s really healthy, and nothing like the mass-brewed unsweetened green tea you get in generic chain stores. Don’t believe it? Come try it for yourself.

Besides tea drinks, they’ve also developed their own ice cream.

I ordered one cup of oolong tea ice cream and one of milk ice cream.

This oolong tea ice cream uses heavily roasted tea as its base, giving a subtle tea aroma upon the first bite. The taste is great and feels more natural. I heard it sells really well.

There are also smaller sizes.

The popular potted plant-style ice cream from a few years ago makes a comeback here—but with a cranberry twist.

Fengchai Xia’an is a small shop full of local spirit. Its main drinks use locally sourced ingredients—in modern terms, reducing food mileage and being eco-friendly. There are tea shops everywhere, but a small business with such local character definitely deserves your support.
