Fifth “Mini Three Links” route proposed: “Matsu Beigan–Fujian” in just 25 minutes

A new route will be added to the “Mini Three Links” between Fujian and Xiamen. Huang Ling, chairperson of the Matsu Tourism Specialty Products Development Association, stated on the 9th that the fifth “Mini Three Links” route — “Matsu Beigan Baisha–Fujian Huangqi” — is expected to open soon, with a one-way trip taking just 25 minutes.

Huang Ling noted that the maritime distance between Matsu and Fuzhou’s Lianjiang Huangqi is only 8 nautical miles. Once the Matsu–Huangqi route is opened, travel time between the two locations will be shortened to just 25 minutes — saving both time and effort compared to the four existing “Mini Three Links” routes.

Currently, the “Mini Three Links” has established four regular passenger routes: Matsu–Fuzhou Mawei, Kinmen–Xiamen Dongdu, Kinmen–Xiamen Wutong, and Kinmen–Quanzhou Shijing. Among them, the “Two Gates” (Kinmen–Xiamen) route operates 36 daily sailings, the “Two Ma” (Matsu–Fuzhou) route has 2 sailings, and the “Jin Quan” (Kinmen–Quanzhou) route has 8 sailings.
