Dagouxi Eco Park: A Mountain-and-Water Retreat That Attracted Hong Kong TV Dramas

Located at the end of Dahu Villa Street in Neihu District, Taipei City, the Dagouxi Eco Water Management Park features vast green lawns and quaint bridges over flowing streams, offering a beautiful and pleasant scenery—particularly magical at dusk under the glow of colorful clouds. Its charming landscape has attracted the interest of a Hong Kong TV station, prompting them to come to Taiwan specifically for on-location shooting.

The Dagouxi Eco Water Management Park was awarded the 2014 Global Excellence in Construction Award and received the highest honor in both the Best Environmental Culture and Public Works & Urban Space categories in 2013. In 2014, it represented Taiwan at the FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Awards organized by the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI), winning a Silver Award.

The Taipei City Water Resources Bureau stated that the park embodies the principles of “Integrated Water Management”: “water retention upstream, flood reduction midstream, and flood prevention downstream.” Beyond its role in regulating flood peaks and trapping sediment, the park also serves as a recreational space for landscapes, ecology, and mountain-and-water experiences. Children can play safely in the plaza, while adults can relax and chat in the pavilions, making it an ideal family leisure spot. Thanks to the mountain-access trail, visitors can walk all the way to attractions such as Liyu Mountain, Yuanchuei Waterfall, and Yuanchuei Temple—perfect for getting close to nature and praying for family happiness and well-being at the temple, making it highly suitable for a half-day trip.
