Every region in the world has its own unique coffee culture. Inspired by Cuba’s passionate lifestyle and traditional espresso, Nespresso today (September 30) launched its limited-edition Cubanía coffee for autumn. Celebrity Akemi also personally crafted her own version of Cubanía coffee.
According to Nespresso, past experience shows that nearly 80% of consumers prefer adding a bit of milk to their espresso and enjoy pairing high-intensity, bold Grands Crus coffees with fresh milk. By adjusting the roasting process and blending beans, Cubanía boosts the coffee's intensity to level 13, surpassing the level 12 intensity of Kazaar Grand Cru, resulting in an even thicker and richer flavor.

If you want to take a taste journey to Cuba with a Cup of Cubano, Nespresso recommends evenly stirring an appropriate amount of cane sugar with freshly extracted Cubanía espresso (25 ml Ristretto), then extracting a second shot of Cubanía espresso (25 ml Ristretto) and adding it to the thick, sweet mixture. This creates a cup of coffee rich in Latin flair. Guests who tried the drink commented that they had expected the added sugar to make the coffee overly sweet, but the intense flavor of Cubanía actually balanced well with the sugar, truly reflecting the passionate feeling Cuba gives off.

▲Professional baristas also gave live demonstrations to show the audience how to make a traditional Cubano coffee.
Nespresso also suggests adding 25 ml of fresh hot milk to Cubanía to create a Cubanía milk coffee, which offers hints of biscuit, caramel, and sweetness. It can also be paired with different flavored syrups, fresh cream, and fruit jams to make new drinks such as Cuban Cino, Smoked Latte, and Cubanía Orange Coffee — offering coffee lovers a unique new experience in coffee culture.
