Fangyuan Township in Changhua County is famed for its Wanggong oysters. Many out-of-town visitors know about the delicious pearl oysters produced here, but few realize there’s also a photogenic blue bridge tucked away. Standing on the bridge offers sea views with a breathtaking horizon where the sea meets the sky. The entire bridge is blue, giving off strong ocean vibes and making for a refreshing and highly photogenic spot.

King’s Bow Bridge is located by the sea in Fangyuan, Changhua. It’s a scenic harbor-crossing bridge, stretching 82 meters in length, and its name is inspired by the local area known as “Wanggong.” On clear days, the bridge reflects on the water’s surface, complemented by the blue sky, white clouds, and moored fishing boats—creating a picturesque scene. From the bridge, you can also admire the fishing harbor, Wanggong Lighthouse, and wind turbines.

In Fangyuan, you can enjoy stunning sunrises and sunsets, and the local “Wanggong oysters” are also highly renowned. They grow with the tides—submerged at high tide and basking in the sun at low tide. At low tide, fearing moisture loss, the oysters clamp their shells tightly. Through daily tidal movements, their bellies become especially plump, their flesh firm and pleasantly chewy, earning them the nickname “pearl oysters.” When you visit, be sure to try the Wanggong oysters.

Aside from traditional oyster omelets and oyster fritters, there’s also an ice shop nearby run by local youth“King’s Oyster Ocean Ice Art Café”, where you can try the pearl oyster snowflake ice—a uniquely flavorful mix of salty and sweet.
