Ride your bike to Taiwan’s extreme points. The 2017 Taiwan Cycling Festival introduces the “Taiwan Lighthouses – Extreme Points Slow Travel” event, which is divided into five challenge categories. Participants can cycle to four major lighthouses located at Taiwan’s extremities on the main island, offering both local and foreign travel enthusiasts a more profound way to discover the island.

Centered around Taiwan’s four extreme point lighthouses:Northernmost — Fugui Cape Lighthouse, Easternmost — Sandiao Cape Lighthouse, Westernmost — Guosheng Harbor Lighthouse, and Southernmost — Eluanbi Lighthousethe event showcases the beauty of Taiwan’s coastline to travelers from around the world.

The event series includes five formats: leisurely rides, circumnavigation challenges, dual-tower (north/south) challenges, a full circuit of the four extreme points, and a double triathlon (cycling + another sport) island tour. These options allow participants and foreign tourists to choose activities that match their fitness levels. In addition to enjoying the thrill of cycling and exploring nearby attractions, those who complete the challenges will receive a commemorative finisher’s certification.
