The Regent Taipei’s Cloud Lounge at The Ritz-Carlton launched bottomless Irish River oysters in July, sourced directly from Ireland. Within just nine days of the promotion, over 20,000 oysters were consumed, with one guest setting a remarkable record of eating 28 oysters in one sitting. Due to the overwhelming popularity, the hotel has added Thursday afternoons to the serving period. The oyster promotion now runs every Thursday through Sunday during afternoon tea hours. The price is NT$1,180 per person +10%.

Irish River oysters offer the bold brininess of Australian oysters as well as the refreshing sweetness of French ones. The chefs enhance their diverse flavors with various herbs and olive oil. Additionally, the “Oyster Margarita,” made with tomato juice, celery, Tabasco, and black pepper, allows guests to enjoy multiple oyster flavor profiles in one dish.
