Heading to Kenting, prepare to pull over to the right at the 454 km mark on Provincial Highway 1

First, park your car in the large 7-11 parking lot (the campsite entrance is right next to the sign)

Go to the campsite management office to register and reserve a spot (located next to the township office)

Let’s start by introducing the first area you’ll see upon entering the main gate:

All campsites are individual units, separated by stone blocks in the middle

Basically, during summer, each campsite comes with a sunshade and breathable fabric overhead

There are a total of seven caravan-style campsites, all spacious

Each site is approximately 3.5–4 meters by 12 meters, with similar sizes

Each block is independent, with dedicated sinks

Right in front of the campsites, you can enjoy the ocean view — really nice, highly recommended

Under the setting sun, the sea breeze is quite cool

The enchanting moonlit sky glows blue, illuminating the horizon

Tonight, enjoy the grand view of Jasmine Bay all to yourself

This beautiful moonlit scene is truly a rare sight

Going further inside leads you to the wooden cabin area:

There are only three cabin tents — not many

Besides providing shade, they also block the wind; we set up camp in the cabin area this time

The cabins offer a charming sea view — it’s recommended to face the living area toward the sea

Each has a separate sink and power outlet

The base of each cabin has D-rings to tighten the tent

A simple inner tent setup, with the front of the cabin used as a reading and resting area

Ma Lu — the space is just right, and it stays dry even on rainy days

Unexpectedly, even during the typhoon, there were two northern campers joining us

In this weather, everyone ended up choosing the cabin area

It was my first time camping in a cabin — it felt very convenient

I thought we’d have the place to ourselves, so we set up in the middle of the three small cabins

But then around 9 PM, two more tents arrived, so we quickly made room XD

Watching the sunset on a typhoon day all to yourself is truly a rare experience.

Feels good to have so few people around, doesn’t it?

Next to the wooden cabin area is the summer water play zone.

The new paintings are really well done, and the place is kept quite tidy and clean.

Master He suggests that it would be perfect if they could put up a living tent here to block the sun.

The most important section: the bathroom and toilet area.

Outside the women’s bathroom, there are makeup tables and four hairdryers provided.

The toilets are clean with absolutely no unpleasant odors.

The management staff are always cleaning — they’re really putting in the effort to keep things tidy.

The accessible toilet has a very spacious layout.

The men’s bathroom also provides hairdryers.

Inside the bathrooms, there’s still a lack of shelves for storing items.

Natural campsites (gravel campsites):

This area is quite large and is also maintained to be very comfortable.

It’s clearer when shot from above — these are all concrete campsites.

Master He suggests that living tents or canopies can also be set up on the concrete.

Tents can be directly pitched on the gravel; it’s less hot in the summer.

The central walkway provides a route for carts to move through.

This area is also being gradually planned to add more shaded canopies.

The washing area in front of the campsites is quite well done.

The last section turns out to be the grassland area:

In front of this area, the township office has built sea-view walking stairs — super convenient.

In the summer, the sea view is definitely the most enticing, isn’t it?

The area in front of the grassland section is entirely made up of scenic viewing platforms (you can rent umbrellas from the management office).

The grassland area currently does not have designated campsite sizes.

There are some nighttime floodlights on the ground — be careful not to kick them.

The sink facilities are likely shared with the nearby sea-view area.

At the very end of the grassland area is the children’s play zone; the sandpit is also located here.

With the weather still nice, take the time to do some night photography of the colorful grassland area — it’s really beautiful at night.

The grassland area has its own dedicated parking lot, which is very convenient.

There are also dedicated toilets. The campsite is currently under maintenance.

Fangshan has a beautiful train station — that’s what the locals say.

Ahead lies the tunnel, forming a beautiful scene with the tracks inside the station.

Taking photos outside an unmanned station feels especially relaxing — a truly unique experience.

I personally love hidden spots that are a bit less crowded.

In the scorching summer heat, we’ve specially chosen the coolest hidden water spot in the area this time.

The newly renovated and completed Kaiyao/Qieyan family swimming area.

We came here just for this cool escape. It’s 9 km from the campsite — a 30-minute drive at a relaxed pace.

Start with a leisurely walk up the trail. Actually, the trail isn’t long — only about 500 meters and very easy to walk.

The whole path is well-maintained. Highly recommended for a family outing.

Along the way, you’ll see about a dozen species of butterflies — quite a sight to behold.

Step by step up the stairs, slowly experiencing the man-made beauty within nature.
