Tender pork paired with a refreshing yet rich broth — the must-try pickled cabbage and pork noodle soup in Xizhi

Note that this place has had its sign up for a long time, but it’s closed on holidays. Once when I went to check out Mobile Castle next door to look at bikes, I decided to give this spot a try and was surprised by how delicious it was. The noodles here are all cooked fresh in individual pots, and you can choose your broth, noodles, meat… with many flavor options. Since I live in Xizhi and have long struggled to find good noodles, this place is really great. It’s now something I have to eat irregularly, and I highly recommend it to friends in Xizhi.

%The highlight of this shop is definitely the "pickled cabbage and pork noodle soup", which comes with tender pork slices and a rich broth. There are also many other flavors of noodle soups to choose from. Since I live in Xizhi, I don’t often come across good noodles, so this place is really fantastic. I’ve ended up coming here irregularly, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to friends in Xizhi.

%The pork noodle soup also comes with braised tofu, which is soft and flavorful, adding even more richness to the overall taste.

%Although the portion isn’t huge, it’s still very satisfying.

As someone who always thought Xizhi was lacking in good food, I found myself moved just having this Northeast-style pickled cabbage and pork noodle soup. Unfortunately, they operate based on nearby office workers’ schedules, so they’re not only closed on weekends but also national holidays, only open Monday to Friday. If you’re in Xizhi, do go try it out.
