Where should I even start eating?! Yilan's 34G Fake Breast Ice is simply too embarrassing

So, during one of my trips to Yilan on assignment, I specifically went looking for the legendary 34G ice that had been making the rounds in foodie circles. Turns out, it’s hidden away at “Sunflower Ice Shop” on Section 2, Fuxing Road in Yilan City. The “Sunflower Ice Shop” is located right across from Fuxing Junior High School, in a prime golden corner spot. Its orange signboard looks a bit vintage, and every summer it draws in plenty of locals and tourists. The shop offers a wide variety of icy treats at very reasonable prices. This time, the 34G ice and Volcano Eruption Ice I tried were incredibly photogenic—right when they were served, they gave us quite the surprise. The sweet yet tangy flavors brought back childhood memories of eating ice, with a retro taste that hit all the right nostalgic notes. Digging in, you’re occasionally met with little surprises—it’s delicious and fun. Next, let’s take a closer look at the embarrassingly charming 34G Fake Breast Ice and the Volcano Eruption Ice.

%The location is right in the bustling cultural area of Yilan City’s commercial district, nestled within a lively intersection—so yes, it’s right in the heart of the city’s liveliest area. The interior has a bit of an old-school vibe. But once I ordered my ice, the place suddenly filled up with customers (whoa)! They offer a wide range of icy treats, mainly divided into categories like brown sugar shaved ice, premium ice, shaped ice, lotus seed ice, and plain ice—so many choices it’s almost overwhelming. Prices range roughly from NT$25–95, still pretty affordable. But we were here specifically for the legendary 34G Fake Breast Ice, so we quickly spotted our target (staring intently).

%Before we even got our food, we peeked through the window and saw the vibrant colors of the ice displays inside, which made us even hungrier. Because we were super hungry, besides the 34G Fake Breast Ice, what other kinds of ice should we challenge ourselves with?

%The display photos were really appetizing—I couldn’t help but keep glancing over while waiting, because besides the 34G Fake Breast Ice, what other icy delights should we try?

%The decor inside was really inviting, and the seating was comfy, so we could leisurely take our time picking what icy treat suited our mood best.

%The most eye-catching were the huge, colorful shaved ice photos—they didn’t even need captions to draw people in.　

%There were lots of other options too, but the fruit and premium-flavor ices seemed to be the most popular among customers. We’ve listed them below for your reference. By the way, the 34G Fake Breast Ice I wanted to try was only ranked sixth—if we want it to get back into the top three, we’d better order it ASAP (fist pump).

%Before we knew it, our 34G ice (NT$65) arrived. I just kept staring at it, feeling a bit at a loss.

%I wanted to dig in right away, but also felt a bit shy about it...

%After a bit of internal struggle, I finally decided to go for it—but honestly, my soft-hearted self just couldn’t bring myself to do it...

%Actually, when you look closely at this 34G ice, it’s really something... super realistic. The portion is actually pretty generous—it could probably feed two people.

%Honestly, it looked so much like the real thing. The taste was surprisingly good. The overall flavor was well-balanced, with the coolness of the shaved ice complementing the toppings. The base had strawberry sauce, pudding, and lychee coconut jelly.

%When you actually eat it, the visual pun becomes even more apparent... it’s quite suggestive. I wonder if it’s inspired by Yang Guifei? (Totally joking!)

%At first glance, it might remind you of a certain anatomical part, but why does it feel oddly tasteful when you look at it?<

%I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw how perfectly symmetrical the two “breasts” were—one side hid strawberry ice cream, the other had candied fruit ice cream. Truly the king of 34G Fake Breast Ice. It had a strong retro flavor, and the candied ice tasted just like the ones from childhood—tangy, sweet, and with actual fruit bits. So unique.

%Next came the Volcano Eruption Ice (NT$85)! So, after I ordered the 34G ice, the boss was just about to turn around and make it, but then I also ordered this Volcano Eruption Ice. He furrowed his brows but didn’t say a word, and still made it for us. His expression showed a bit of disbelief, as if to say we definitely wouldn’t finish both.

%Truth be told, this Volcano Eruption Ice actually pairs better with the 34G ice (come on~). This one is pretty heavy—you can tell just by looking at the server’s expression. Lava flows of strawberry sauce and red bean paste slowly trickle down the sides, their vibrant colors making it look like molten lava. It’s seriously imaginative.

%The top of the volcano is covered with all sorts of ingredients, and honestly, it looks amazing.

%The ingredients inside the volcano include mango, almond jelly, lychee, mochi, taro balls, and more—visually, it’s already a feast.

%When you eat it, there are also some coconut jelly bits that occasionally tumble out from the volcano along with the other ingredients. The combination of the chewy coconut jelly, the tangy sweetness of the strawberry sauce, and the rich sweetness of the red bean paste is surprisingly harmonious. It’s super sweet and delicious, really giving off that nostalgic childhood ice-eating vibe. They say this Volcano Eruption Ice is enough for 2–3 people—it’s really filling.

%The inside of the volcano even hides a ball of ice cream—whoa, is that ice cream from the Earth’s core? (Status: watched too many sci-fi movies). Aside from the initial visual surprise, their shaped ices also have fun hidden flavors as you dig in.

"Sunflower Ice Shop" offers over ten different kinds of shaped ice treats, each with its own unique look — so fun and interesting to see them all. Next time I have the chance, I’ll definitely go big and try the Treasure Basin and Birthday Party ice again. By the way, the 34G Fake Breast Ice might sound a bit embarrassing at first glance, but it’s surprisingly delicious — with a slightly sour yet sweet flavor that’s really enjoyable. The lychee-flavored coconut jelly especially enhances the aroma of the ice. Also, the Volcano Eruption Ice has a rich and layered texture that’s super satisfying to eat. Even though the portions are huge, we managed to finish them all. This place is great for groups — you can all try different flavors of ice together. Highly recommended to anyone interested — you really should come and give it a try, it’ll definitely amaze you!
