The rankings, published annually in mid-October,"World's Best Airports to Sleep In,"were released on the 15th by the U.S. travel website"Sleeping in Airports,"withSingapore Changi Airport once again taking the top spot unsurprisingly, setting a record of 18 consecutive years at No. 1. Taiwan’s Taoyuan Chiang Kai-shek International Airport rose one spot in the Asian rankings this year to 5th place.

The rankings of sleep-friendly airports are typically judged based on the 4Cs (Comfort, Cleanliness, Convenience, and Customer Service), with winners determined by global online voters. In this year’s global Top 10, the top two spots were again dominated by Singapore Changi Airport and South Korea’s Incheon International Airport.

Many travelers noted that regardless of the terminal, Changi Airport always offers ample rest areas where passengers can take a quick nap before boarding. Additionally, besides duty-free shops, the airport provides internet zones, foot massage areas, movie viewing areas, and sofa seating with power outlets—its diverse range of rest and leisure facilities is one of the main reasons for global praise.

Although Taoyuan Airport didn’t make the global Top 10, it improved by one spot in the Asian rankings compared to last year, achieving an impressive 5th place. Travelers commented that aside from the friendliness of Taiwanese people, airport staff are also eager to assist passengers. Moreover, themed boarding gates (like the Hello Kitty gate) are not only fun but also aesthetically pleasing.

"Sleeping in Airports" also pointed out on theirFacebook pagethat they particularly appreciate Taoyuan Airport’s free shower services for transit passengers, which even include complimentary towels and toiletry kits, allowing travelers to refresh before continuing their journeys—a thoughtful touch they highly valued.
