Additional high-speed rail services to be added on Nov. 29 for “Nine-in-One Elections”; pre-sales start at 1 a.m. on Nov. 1

To accommodate the nationwide Nine-in-One Elections on Nov. 29, Taiwan High Speed Rail announced that it willoperate 14 additional train services from Nov. 28 to Dec. 1 (10 southbound and 4 northbound), providing a total of 584 services over the four days to help passengers travel home to vote. The flexible seating option and early bird discounts will remain available, with pre-sales starting at 1 a.m. on Nov. 1.

During the passenger surge period, early bird discounts will apply to as many as 451 services, including 270 services with a 65% early bird discount. This includes 25 designated services offering a full 65% discount on standard class reserved seats. Passengers can enjoy the discount if they book their tickets between 5 and 28 days before their travel date. Additionally, all services will continue to provide 3 to 4 cars of flexible seating, which is eligible for student discounts, standard class cardholder offers, and limited business class upgrades. Passengers are encouraged to reserve seats in advance and pick up tickets early to save time queuing. Regular off-peak discounts, senior citizen discounts, group discounts for 30 or more people, and school field trip programs are not applicable during this period.
