The National Taichung Theater is set to open soon！ Its light and shadow interactive exhibition will make a magical debut in November.

Taichung’s new landmark — the National Taichung Theater — will begin offering group tours on November 1st and launch a series of exciting events！ Kicking things off is the Light Art Festival brought to you by the UK-based team Sabakuma, featuring dazzling sound-and-light interactive art performances that let the public experience a magical tech show reminiscent of movie scenes.

The Taichung Theater, which is set to open on November 23rd, was designed by contemporary Japanese architect Toyo Ito. Its unique geometric exterior has been hailed as one of the world’s new nine landmarks. Planned by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the “Light Dance Chronicle” – the theater’s Light and Shadow Art Festival – will present a series of sound-and-light interactive art performances including “3D light projections” and “light-interactive installation art” from November 1st to December 31st, magically coming alive every evening from 17:00 to 22:00.

From November 1st to December 31st, the Cultural Affairs Bureau will also offer guided tour services. The public can apply in advance for volunteer-led tours to gain an in-depth understanding of the beauty of the National Taichung Theater.
