“Aug.欧格小馆” is located in an alley on Section 1, Keelung Road, Taipei City. Just exit from Exit 1 of Taipei City Hall MRT Station, walk about 1–2 minutes into the right-side alley, and you’ll see it. The horizontal sign isn’t very noticeable—it’s like a hidden little garden in the city.

The window displays at this spot are full of personality, and the interior has its own unique charm.

There’s also a small sunlit terrace inside, making you feel as if you’re in a European backyard café—very cozy.

In addition, there’s a small indoor seating area that gives off a homely vibe. It’s unexpectedly harmonious with the retro and European styles. There are also two single-seater sofas placed in the courtyard—the vintage and European aesthetics blend surprisingly well.

Once you step inside, the first thing you notice is the warm and inviting atmosphere. It feels just like being at home. The soft lighting combined with staggered shelves adds a touch of subtle European flair. Coming here makes you feel like time slows down.

Another highlight is the private dining area, which isn’t very large but has its own cozy charm.

There’s also a corner with green sofa chairs, which may look a bit worn and retro, but they have a lot of character.

The space gives off a relaxing vibe, making it easy to forget about the hustle and bustle outside. It’s also a great place for taking photos.

For those who don’t like noisy environments, this quiet and comfortable spot is a great choice.

There’s also a pizza oven inside, offering options like margherita pizza, Hawaiian pizza, pepperoni pizza, vegetarian pizza, and more. You can even choose from three types of set meals labeled A, B, and C.

The drink options are quite diverse, including coffee, tea, fruit juice, soda, and more, giving you plenty of choices.

The Grilled Salmon (NT$150) is generously portioned—the salmon fillet is quite large, enough to share between 2–3 people.

The dish looks very appealing visually, and the taste doesn’t disappoint either. The outer layer is very crispy, but for fried seafood dishes, it’s best enjoyed while hot for the most delicious flavor. It can get a bit greasy when cooled down.

The Baked Pasta (NT$240) is quite filling and is the kind of dish that will leave a girl feeling full and satisfied.

The sauce is homemade and has a uniquely refreshing flavor.

The texture of the pasta is slightly chewy, and there are bits of creamy cheese inside that melt in your mouth.

The chicken in the Chicken Breast Fillet (NT$?) is lightly grilled beforehand, giving off a faint smoky aroma. It’s quite hearty and has a nice bounce to it.

The fries served on the side are super crispy—even when cold, they still taste good, with a nice crunchy texture.

%The dishes here are not only rich in flavor but also have a high cost-performance ratio. The interior is divided into two levels, making it very atmospheric.

%Their French toast (NT$240) is made by soaking bread in a generous amount of egg and milk, then slowly pan-frying it with butter. What makes their French toast most special is the addition of caramel on the outside, which makes it even crispier when cooked.

%The omelets here are all made using fresh eggs. What impressed us the most was the combination of ham and cheese we ordered, which gave off a rich aroma and tasted excellent.

%The chicken cutlet here is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Paired with a unique sauce, it has a rich umami flavor and is very satisfying.

%Each piece of fruit and cheese is fresh and flavorful, complementing each other perfectly, just like a refreshing fruit salad.

%Left: Fruit tea (NT$160), Right: White beard sea salt coffee (NT$140). The fruit tea is slightly tangy, sweet, and smooth, making it very pleasant to drink. The white beard sea salt coffee adopts a concept similar to milk foam tea paired with sea salt coffee. It can be sipped slowly without stirring. At first, it tastes slightly salty with a hint of buttery aroma, but then the black coffee that breaks through the foam has a slight bitterness, making it quite unique.

%They also offer a variety of desserts, all of which are very tempting.

%The king’s cake (NT$180) is said to be a traditional dessert only available on the first Sunday of January during Epiphany. A customer once returned to Taiwan from France craving king’s cake but couldn’t find it anywhere in Taiwan. Eventually, they discovered that “Aug. Aug.欧格小馆” sells it year-round and were extremely satisfied with it.

%The layers of the pastries are very distinct, and each bite is incredibly satisfying.

%Most of their dishes are lightly seasoned, allowing the natural flavors to shine through. The seasoning is just right, not too heavy, and the taste is very pleasant. The chicken cutlet is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with a rich umami flavor.

“Aug. Aug.欧格小馆” makes you feel as comfortable and at ease as if you were in your own home. The rustic vibe combined with a strong European style is like a little garden in the city, providing a great place to relax. Although the menu selection isn’t extensive, the dishes are very distinctive. For example, the Southeast Asian spicy and sour grilled chicken pita is refreshing and appetizing, with a sweet, sour, spicy, and flavorful taste that makes you want to eat more. Additionally, the caramel French toast with homemade jam is quite rare, with the caramel coating the outside of the French toast, making it even more fragrant. The French king’s cake truly lives up to its reputation—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with a strong almond aroma and buttery scent. The clearly layered crust is delightful, and being able to enjoy it year-round here is simply wonderful. I recommend it to anyone interested. If you get the chance, come explore this hidden gem in the alleyways—you might just discover an unexpectedly delicious treat.
