Boost your popularity: Buy JR East Japan tickets and get a model, or collect a ticket holder at Keikyu Electric Railway

Aside from various discounted goods, another major draw at annual travel expos is the wide array of freebies on offer. For those interested in Japanese rail travel, be sure to check out the Japan section. In addition to local tourism associations from across Japan, exhibitors such as JR East Japan, Keisei Electric Railway, Odakyu Electric Railway, Tobu Railway, and Hankyu Hanshin Group will also be present, offering attractive giveaways. Among them, purchase a “JR East Japan Pass” at the venue and receive an instant “Shinkansen E5 Series Model” — limited to 100 units.

The “JR East Japan Pass” allows unlimited rides on all JR East Japan lines (including BRT), the entire Izu Kyuko Line, the entire Hokuriku Shinkansen, the Aoimori Railway, the IGR Aomori Railway, the Tokyo Monorail, the Sendai Airport Transit, the entire Tokyo Waterfront Area Rapid Transit, as well as limited express and ordinary cars that connect with Tobu Railway, such as the “Nikko,” “Spacia Nikko,” “Kinugawa,” and “Spacia Kinugawa.”

The adult fare is 22,000 yen and the child fare (ages 6–11) is 11,000 yen. Whether you buy the adult or child ticket, you’ll receive a “Shinkansen E5 Series Model” (worth over 1,600 yen) when purchasing the pass at the expo. However, the model will be shipped after the pass is issued, typically arriving within 2–3 days.

Additionally, there are plenty of other giveaways available at the expo. For example, liking the official Facebook pages of Keisei Electric Railway and Odakyu Electric Railway will earn you small gifts. Keisei Electric Railway is giving away its original compact ticket holders. Odakyu Electric Railway is also co-hosting a stamp-collecting event with China Airlines and Taiwan Railways. Simply pick up a stamp card at their booths, collect stamps from all participating booths, and then head to the Odakyu Electric Railway booth to enter the lucky draw. Prizes include a China Airlines A330-300 airplane model, an Enoshima Electric Railway model, small towels, original Enoshima merchandise, and original Taiwan Railways goods.
