Tainan Clear-Boiled Beef Festival kicks off for 6 days, offering 5,000 free servings of beef soup

The main event of the Tainan Clear-Boiled Beef Festival will commence at 10:00 AM on December 6 at Yongkang District’s Daqiao Night Market. The event will provide 5,000 servings of beef soup for visitors to try, with three separate batches of 750 free bowls available at 11:30, 12:30, and 13:30, allowing thousands to enjoy freshly made beef soup together.

This year’s (2014) Clear-Boiled Beef Festival has invited nine well-known Tainan beef soup shops, including Li Family Beef Soup, Man Niu Beef Soup, Xin Zi Beef Shop, Vitality Beef Farm, Hong Pin Beef, Hui Local Beef, A Yu Beef Soup, A Yi Beef City, and A Cai Beef Soup, to set up stalls and cook on-site. The main promotional event also features on-site sales.

Shuttle buses will be available on the day of the event to facilitate transportation to the venue. The first bus departs from Daqiao Station at 09:00 AM and heads to the event site, while the last bus leaves the event site at 05:30 PM for Daqiao Station. Buses run every 30 minutes during the period. Alternatively, you can take bus Red 10 or Green Line to Zhongxing Station, then walk about 10 minutes along Dongqiao 7th Road to reach the venue.
