Officially establishes Taichung branch; Far Eastern Air: Preparing to fly to Osaka and Nagoya

In light of the booming tourism market and the overall balanced development across northern, central, and southern Taiwan, Far Eastern Air announced today (January 26) the official establishment of its Taichung branch. In the future, in addition to providing more direct services to residents in central Taiwan, the airline will also use Taichung as a departure point to expand routes to Northeast Asian destinations such as Osaka and Nagoya.

Far Eastern Air Chief Operating Officer Tseng Chin-chi stated that they have already sensed the gradual growth of the central Taiwan tourism market alongside the development of Greater Taichung. Therefore, the airline’s flight planning has increasingly focused on Taichung as a starting point year by year. The newly launched routes to Osaka, Nagoya, and others this year also take Taichung as their base. Far Eastern Air has also planned around the concept of Taichung as the hub, connecting the unique features of Changhua, Nantou, Yunlin, Chiayi, and Tainan to design a variety of themed travel itineraries. Far Eastern Air stated that in coordination with the opening of the Taichung branch and new routes, a series of travel promotional offers for Taichung routes is expected to be launched in the second quarter of this year.
