Free to view Yayoi Kusama’s works – Exhibition at Taipei Ren’ai Circle office building

The Asian tour exhibition of Japanese dot artist Yayoi Kusama will kick off on February 7. Before the official exhibition in Kaohsiung, residents in northern Taiwan may get an early preview of another series of Yayoi Kusama’s works—“Traces of Life,” an urban space exhibition—scattered across office buildings in the heart of the city, offering a unique charm.

“Traces of Life” is displayed on the first floor of Taishin Financial Holding Building at Taipei Ren’ai Circle. Unlike the floating rural waterway scenery showcased during the 2013 Taoyuan Land Art Festival, this new display interprets the public spaces of urban life. The strong colors of the visual dots run through the office building, presenting different plays of light and color, and adorning the city with vibrant, lively hues amid staircases that rise and fall like hills, offering a break from everyday life.
