Nantou Sky Bridge Opens for Bidding; Couples Can Enjoy Candlelit Dinner on Valentine’s Day

Have you figured out how to spend Valentine’s Day? The “Sky Bridge” in Houtanjing, Nantou, has specially planned the only aerial romantic candlelit dinner in Taiwan this year. The event will be held as a “charity auction” on Facebook, where five couples can enjoy an exquisite Western meal worth NT$3,000 on the bridge on Valentine’s Day, February 14, accompanied by live music and personalized table service.

The Nantou Sky Bridge resembles a gentle smile hanging over the valley, hence earning the lovely nickname “Smiling Sky Ladder.” It is also the longest suspension bridge in Taiwan. During the day, visitors can gaze at the lush green valleys from the bridge, while at night, newly installed butterfly-shaped light sculptures adorn the bridge, changing colors with the lighting and creating a romantic ambiance.

Taiwan’s only aerial romantic candlelit dinner will start bidding at NT$1 from 11:00 AM on January 29. The public can visit the “Nantou Houtanjing Sky Bridge” Facebook fan page and leave a comment with their bid amount on the event post. Five couples will have the chance to enjoy an exquisite Western meal worth NT$3,000 on the bridge on Valentine’s Day, February 14, accompanied by live music and personalized table service.
