After the China Airlines crash on February 4, the Civil Aviation Administration mandated a comprehensive inspection of the power systems of all ATR72 aircraft in its fleet, which also affected multiple domestic flights.

China Airlines announced that from now until February 11, passengers who purchased tickets from China Airlines can process full refunds without any handling fees. To ensure passenger rights, China Airlines' Spring Festival transportation plan remains unchanged, and A321 and A320 aircraft will be deployed to assist travelers in returning home.

Each ATR72 aircraft operated by China Airlines can carry 72 passengers, with a length of 27.17 meters and a maximum range of 900 nautical miles, and is mostly used for short-haul routes. The A321 aircraft being redeployed has a total length of 44.51 meters, a maximum range of 2,293 nautical miles, and seats 182 people; the A320 has a total length of 35.57 meters and can accommodate 150 people, and is mostly used for medium-haul international routes.
