In recent years, hotels have been increasingly popular for inviting international guest chefs to their buffet restaurants, offering unique foreign dishes. Taipei’s The Westin Taipei Six Fu Palace's interactive dining venue, the Silk Road Banquet, is also hosting an "El Salvador Food Festival" from September 12 to September 24, introducing authentic local Salvadoran cuisine.

New dishes at the Silk Road Banquet’s El Salvador Food Festival include ceviche, Salvadoran corn and cheese empanadas with shredded cabbage salad, Salvadoran-style avocado salsa, loroco pesto-flavored chicken croquettes, rum-flavored stewed meat, Salvadoran-style pork and cassava dishes, deep-fried Salvadoran vegetable and meat patties, fruit rice pudding, and Salvadoran honey fruit omelet bread.

In addition, the Silk Road Banquet has also launched a luxurious seafood and meat "shared premium main course" suitable for groups of 4–6 people to enjoy together. The set includes high-end 42oz American tomahawk steak, charcoal-grilled Alaskan king crab, 20oz Iberico pork, a 1kg rainbow trout, steamed live grouper, Dongshi live red-mouth fish, steamed live blue crab, and teriyaki abalone.
