More MRT trains to be added during Spring Festival holiday as crowds increase; Children's Amusement Park and Maokong Gondola closed on 18th

During the six-day Spring Festival holiday from February 18 (Lunar New Year’s Eve) to February 23 (the fifth day of the Lunar New Year), the MRT system will operate on a holiday schedule and will add trains flexibly based on passenger flow. Other Taipei MRT-related attractions, including the Children's Amusement Park, Maokong Gondola, and Taipei Arena Ice Rink, will be closed on Lunar New Year’s Eve (18th) and reopen on the 19th.

Operating status of Taipei MRT-related attractions:

MRT System
1. High-capacity lines: Average intervals between trains on main lines are about 5–10 minutes; late-night intervals are about 12–15 minutes. Additional trains may be added flexibly depending on passenger volume.
2. Medium-capacity lines: The Wenhu Line runs at intervals of about 4–7 minutes; late-night intervals are about 12–15 minutes. Additional trains may be added flexibly depending on passenger volume.

Children's Amusement Park
1. February 18 (Lunar New Year’s Eve): Closed
2. February 19 (Lunar New Year’s Day) to February 23 (fifth day of Lunar New Year): Operating hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Maokong Gondola
1. February 18 (Lunar New Year’s Eve): Closed
2. February 19 (Lunar New Year’s Day) to February 22 (fourth day of Lunar New Year): Operating hours from 8:30 AM to 10:00 PM
3. February 23 (fifth day of Lunar New Year): Last day of the holiday, operating hours from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM

Taipei Arena Ice Rink
1. February 18 (Lunar New Year’s Eve): Closed
2. February 19 (Lunar New Year’s Day) to February 23 (fifth day of Lunar New Year): Operating hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Beitou MRT Station Visitor Center and Evacuation Experience Camp
Closed for 4 days from February 18 (Lunar New Year’s Eve) to February 21 (third day of Lunar New Year); otherwise open as usual (9:00 AM to 10:00 PM)

MRT Lost and Found Center
Closed for service for 5 days from February 18 (Lunar New Year’s Eve) to February 22 (fourth day of Lunar New Year); otherwise normal service hours resume (12:00 PM to 8:00 PM)

MRT Station Taipei City Mall Merchandise Store
1. Closed on February 18 (Lunar New Year’s Eve)
2. February 19 (Lunar New Year’s Day) to February 21 (third day of Lunar New Year): Adjusted operating hours from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
3. Starting February 22 (fourth day of Lunar New Year): Normal business hours from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
