Singapore Airlines cuts fuel surcharge; Taipei round-trip tickets save NT$250–376

Singapore Airlines announced on the 14th that it and its subsidiary SilkAir will reduce fuel surcharges, effective for tickets issued from February 26. Round-trip economy class fares from Taipei to Singapore will drop by NT$250, while business class fares will drop by NT$376.
Although fuel prices have continued to decline recently, aviation fuel still accounts for a significant portion of the overall expenses of the Singapore Airlines Group. The reduced fuel surcharges apply to both Singapore Airlines and SilkAir flights. Depending on flight distance and cabin class, the fuel surcharge per segment will be reduced by USD 5 to USD 83.
For Taipei-Singapore round trips, the business class one-way fuel surcharge has been reduced from the previous USD 62 to USD 56, a decrease of USD 6, saving USD 12 round trip, about NT$376; economy class has been reduced from USD 47 to USD 43, a decrease of USD 4, saving USD 8 round trip, about NT$250.
