I noticed this place because I had dined next door at “A COMMUNITY Restaurant & Bar欧义料理” before. At that time, I found this ‘PS TAPAS Spanish Seafood Tapas Bar’ across the way looked quite cozy and the prices weren’t too high. So when I made plans to have a meal with friends, I chose this spot. I’ve always had an inexplicable longing for Spain, so if I can’t go there for travel, then enjoying a culinary journey here is also a great option.

I was meeting up with my old friends Jean and Sean for the meal. When I came here with Xiao D last time, I thought we definitely needed to find a chance to sit down here. Sure enough, the interior decor and atmosphere were really great.

The space isn’t very big, but overall it gives off the feeling of being in a small European restaurant. However, the service wasn’t very proactive, which my girlfriend complained about a bit.

For drinks, we ordered the shop’s signature classic fruit wine. It’s based on red wine, and the taste is actually really good. The alcohol content feels a bit high, though they did put quite a lot of ice. After asking the staff to remove most of the ice (Wisely’s request), the amount of fruit wine left was about half, but for four people, it was just the right amount. (Note: Don’t drink and drive, safety first!)

This signature grilled beef salad is one of the shop’s signature appetizers. The grilled beef on top is thinly sliced and not very juicy, but the seasoning added points. The salad changes with the seasons, and the beautiful plating is definitely one of the highlights.

The dry-style seafood paella looked quite good and seemed to have a fairly rich selection inside, but the taste and portion size were just so-so. We didn’t find the flavor particularly outstanding. The seafood ingredients were OK, with the shrimp and mussels having decent flavor penetration, but the dry-style rice was a bit too soft and lacked texture. Online reviews for the seafood paella were also not very high.

The crab meat dip with pita bread was pretty awesome, and we even ordered more bread later to go with it. The crab dip itself was quite rich without being overly sweet, and the crab meat had a subtle flavor but was still quite tasty. Paired with the slightly dense and chewy pita bread, it added a lot of appeal—by the second round, it was still great.

Spanish garlic shrimp is said to be a famous dish, so I had some expectations for PS TAPAS. But after trying it, I found the flavor wasn’t as rich as imagined. It contains olive oil, garlic, and spices, and is meant to be eaten with grilled bread. That actually felt better, and the bread had a more pronounced texture, giving off a flavor reminiscent of what you’d get abroad.

The sausage and egg bake turned out to be unexpectedly good. The texture of the baked egg was firmer, almost cake-like in taste, and it contained diced potatoes mixed with butter and other seasonings. On top, there were sweet peppers and basil leaf powder for seasoning. The taste was savory and fragrant, pairing very well with the fruit wine. It was most delicious when slightly hot—definitely best eaten fresh and hot. Once it cools down, it loses its texture and flavor.

The extra premium 8-ounce bone-in black pork was a dish I was looking forward to, and it was also the dish Wisely found most satisfying that night. Perhaps it was the seasoning and the grilled meat quality—it was incredibly tender, smooth, juicy, and the flavor was great. Even the grilled vegetables were aromatic, and the bone-in element left you wanting more. A personal strong recommendation.

Each dish here averages around NT$300–400, so it’s best to come as a group of four to make it more worthwhile. In terms of portion size, Wisely didn’t think it was very generous—if you really want to fill up, you might need to order wisely, choosing bread-based sides. The dining atmosphere is great, though the service response is slightly lacking in proactivity. If you’re looking for a place to hang out after work, this is a good spot, and it’s open until 2 AM, so you can eat, drink, and chat to your heart’s content.
