National Day fireworks in Taitung: Beinan Township compiles full viewing guide with accommodation discounts

To coincide with the Double Ten National Day fireworks display being held in Taitung, the Beinan Township Office has compiled the “Beinan Township National Day Fireworks Viewing Full Guide,” listing the best spots in the township to view the event and highlighting special accommodation offers from local inns, encouraging everyone to join in celebrating Taitung’s largest-ever fireworks show.

Beinan Township Mayor Hsu Wen-wen noted that it is a rare opportunity for the National Day fireworks to come to Taitung. The nearby Fuyuan Village, situated at a high elevation, not only provides an excellent vantage point but also avoids being affected by smoke (with the northeast monsoon starting in October), making it an ideal choice for viewing the fireworks. During the test firing on the evening of September 11, staff stationed there reported that Lingxiao Palace and the surrounding roads were packed with people, showing just how eagerly the public is anticipating the event. Therefore, personnel were dispatched to survey various locations and compile this information to help the public plan where to enjoy the fireworks.

To celebrate this national occasion, local accommodations in Beinan Township are also offering special deals during the National Day holiday, such as 50% off the second night, just 20 NT for the third night, complimentary hot air balloon experiences, and free local souvenirs—far more value than usual rates. With autumn now here, staying in the Zhiben Hot Spring area of Beinan Township to soak in the springs, stargaze, and unwind will be the perfect choice.

The National Day fireworks are scheduled to take place from 7:00 PM to 7:36 PM on October 10, featuring six major themes: Primal, Wings, Persistence, Harmony, Peace, and Nationhood. Paired with special theme music, the show will resemble an alternative light sculpture performance. The fireworks range in size from 3T to 24T, and although only an 8T firework with 20 shots was tested on September 11—leaving the public wanting more—the official display will feature a spectacular 22,000 fireworks.
