The the kitchen table Western restaurant on the 10th floor of Taipei W Hotel has revamped its afternoon tea format starting March 13, upgrading it to an unlimited all-you-can-eat buffet. The current offerings include 14 sweet items, 11 savory dishes, as well as ice cream, handmade cookies, and freshly squeezed juices.

W Hotel stated that after the transformation, the the kitchen table Western restaurant launched a collaborative afternoon tea with American New York wellness brand bliss, titled "W T Time: You Are Blissed – The Happiness Recipe Afternoon Tea." The set features 25 sweet and savory dishes themed around the brand color bliss blue, signature lemon fragrance, and triple oxygen concept. Available from March 13 to May 31, the price is NT$800 + 10%.

He Yu-mei, the new pastry specialist at Taipei W Hotel, explained that since blue is not generally considered an appetite-stimulating color in color theory, special effort was put into designing the dishes with a "refreshing transparency" as the main theme, resulting in fourteen sweet treats. Examples include the Mint Chocolate Ball, Blood Orange Jelly with White Pepper Cheese Mousse, and He Yu-mei’s personal recommendation: the Sage-Flavored Cream Brownie Cake.

▲ "Blood Orange Jelly with White Pepper Cheese Mousse" features a square layer of cheese mousse made with cream and freshly ground white pepper on the bottom, a middle layer of imported French blood orange puree, and is topped with gold leaf for garnish.

▲ "Sage-Flavored Cream Brownie Cake" combines fresh sage with French Isigny fermented butter, served alongside a rich, velvety brownie meticulously crafted by the chef.

Executive Chef Colin Chun led the design of 11 savory dishes. Among them, the "Spicy Mint Grapefruit Caviar Sprite Shot," inspired by bliss’s star product “Triple Oxygen” series, is a molecular gastronomy-style mint caviar served with Sprite, grapefruit juice, and a touch of Tabasco hot sauce, offering a unique spicy flavor. The "Grilled Grapefruit with Brown Sugar Vanilla Cheese" involves halving grapefruit, sprinkling with brown sugar, and roasting until caramelized, then drizzling with a golden cheese sauce made from mascarpone and natural vanilla pods. The high-heat roasting reduces the grapefruit’s acidity and bitterness while enhancing its sweetness, with the unique brown sugar aroma perfectly complementing the rich, smooth cheese sauce, creating a truly blissful taste experience.
