The largest flower-viewing season in Chaoshan has kicked off—Cosmos and sunflowers will bloom until the end of April.

Do you know where the largest sea of flowers is in Chaoshan right now? It’s located at“Linhou Silin Plain Forest Park”. Opened in June 2014, the currently open core area spans 85 hectares. Recently, both the chinaberry trees and an expansive 5-hectare cosmos flower field have blossomed, with sunflowers soon to follow. Now is the perfect time to visit Linhou Silin and enjoy this floral feast.

In its early days, the park’s soil quality was poor due to being built on elevated river sand and silt used for sugarcane cultivation. The highly acidic soil was unsuitable for most plants, so landscape green manure crops were initially planted to improve the soil. Now, the agricultural zone is brimming with spring vibrancy, featuring blooming cosmos in soft pastel hues, bright yellow cosmos, and colorful zinnias. These are complemented by art installations scattered throughout the fields, adding to the pastoral charm. Sunflowers will soon bloom as well, extending the floral spectacle through the end of April.

By the park’s welcome path and near the forest stage area, the light purple-flowering chinaberry trees are currently in bloom. With their small blossoms and subtle lilac hue, they often go unnoticed, much like a lover quietly waiting for love, striving to show their most beautiful side. They emit a fresh, elegant fragrance, waiting to be admired by a destined visitor.
